Operations Coordinator

Aligning with our growth strategy, we have a new opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to take on a newly created role as Operations Coordinator, based at our Altona North depot, working within our Mechanical Services department. 

FBT Transwest is a privately owned company, founded in 1972. FBT Transwest is committed to delivering safe, quality outcomes as a specialised supplier of high consequence transport, storage and related supply chain services.

The purpose of the role is to assist our operations teams in day-to-day operations, monitoring telematics exception reports and generate weekly maintenance plans across the business. 

Key accountabilities and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Engage stakeholders to align operational and business requirements
• Support operations and business units to ensure optimum usage of systems
• Review and process day-to-day fleet monitoring and telematics solutions
• Process maintenance jobs and records with an eye for detail and interpretation
• Liaise with service technicians as required
• Ensure all daily transaction paperwork is completed including repair orders
• Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to achieve desirable outcomes 
• Complete driver audits/checks 
• Compile service reports, manipulating exported data
• Other administrative and compliance duties as required 
• Development of processes and procedures

The ideal candidate

• Demonstrated experience within the transport industry
• High focus on safety, with knowledge of COR, Fatigue Management, Mass Management regulations
• Will have excellent interpersonal communication skills, and ability to communicate with diverse audiences
• Ability to work autonomously
• Have a can-do attitude
• Willingness to complete a range of administrative tasks
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft office applications
• Master of Microsoft Excel
• Outstanding attention to detail
• Having sound knowledge of heavy vehicle operations and a mechanical mindset will be advantageous
