You will be providing people management/oversight to a team of 4 Senior Project Managers with expertise across a diverse range of clinical, medical and drug delivery trials. You will be guiding the Senior Project Managers relating to people, resourcing, and project matters, ensuring they feel supported and equipped to lead their direct reports and be responsible for the set-up, conduct and closure of research projects across their research programs whilst managing their performance milestones and metrics.
Secondly, you will have a unique dual-function of reviewing internal capability and conducting team training analysis, identifying gaps, designing the framework, and building capacity to address the developmental gaps. The intention is to create and make accessible comprehensive role-based learning plans, curating from existing training resources and supporting the implementation of new onboarding and role-specific trainings for a large group of up to 80 team members across the business.
Working in close collaboration with the Research Training Manager, you will be pivotal in designing the program and determining effective delivery methods, identifying the resources to roll out training to ensure new and existing team members receive a comprehensive and standardised training experience.
So ideally, we are looking for you to bring:
- Experience leading clinical research project operations from either an academic setting or CRO/Pharma and working on Investigator Led research.
- Experience in people management and motivation for coaching, mentoring and developing a strong learning culture.
- Comprehensive understanding of the clinical trials process, operations, research environment and the needs of different roles from a learning and development perspective.
- Substantial experience in a clinical research training function; with experience in undertaking training gap analyses or the development and implementation of clinical trial training programs.
- Strong prioritization skills, problem-solving and analytical skills whilst maintaining a focus to enable cross-application across the organization.
- Showcasing adaptability and flexibility to handle a wide range of stakeholders and changing priorities.
