Address Your new company Join a multinational manufacturing company as their Operations Manager, joining the team in Southwest Sydney on a permanent basis in an exciting leadership role. Your new role In your new role as Operations Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
Supporting the DC Manager to lead the operations team, driving a culture of high performance to strive for delivery in full and the highest level of customer service.
Project management of strategic initiatives to improve end-to-end supply chain operations, identifying and implementing improvements, and supporting the teams to develop the overall business.
Creating strong relationships with key stakeholders across both operations and the wider business, communicating all key information to stakeholders across multiple levels.
Driving the teams to meet KPIs with respect to output, inventory control metrics, and delivery schedules, mentoring and training team members, performance managing where required.
What you'll need to succeed
Strong experience within people leadership roles in the logistics space, with demonstrated understanding of inventory control, warehousing, and end-to-end supply chain management.
Proven background in managing projects within a distribution centre (i.e., warehouse layout, LEAN, automation), with relevant qualifications highly regarded, with knowledge of OH&S procedures.
Excellent technical skillset with ERP/WMS systems exposure and implementation knowledge highly regarded, with working knowledge of improvement methodologies (LEAN, Six Sigma etc.) preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills coupled with refined communication skills, able to influence across a diverse range of stakeholders.
