ABOUT THE ROLEOur Operations Manager effectively manages the day-to-day operational excellence of the site. More specifically the transport, customer liaison and functions relating to our vehicle, truck & machinery (T&M), and general goods auctions.
This is a permanent, full-time role located in Welshpool, WA.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Successfully manage the smooth operation within the team of all weekly vehicle, monthly T&M and general auctions.
- Manage and follow up online auctions
- Determine the best strategy to remarket assets to ensure return on monthly transport, detailing, and repair costs
- Effectively liaise with multiple internal departments
- Maintain client relationships and complete regular client and vendor reporting
- Run advertising campaigns, coordinate auction estimates and valuations
- Assist in the valuation of off-site valuations as required
- Actively contact buyers to ensure all auction items have competitive bidding
- Liaise with Transport contractors to arrange collection of assets on behalf of clients, vendors & collection teams
- Foster an informed, well-trained, proactive, and engaged WHS culture
- Strong interpersonal skills with a calm, confident and mature approach
- Engaging manner with all working relationships internally and externally
- Motivated by operational efficiencies and improvement
- Develops positive, constructive, and ‘forward thinking’ working relationships
- Strong decision-maker
- Organised, disciplined with strong attention to detail
- Responsive, time conscious, and deadline focused
- WHS care, focus, and consistency
- Logistics proficiency and sound knowledge of trucks, machinery, and plant
- Proficient computer skills (MS Office, internet)
- Current drivers licence; HC and/or forklift licence desired but not essential.
- Experience in the Auction/ Valuation industry desired but not essential
