Here's a fantastic opportunity for an experienced operations professional to join a dynamic and growing Logistics Specialist.
Our clients is a key component within a global integrated logistics network. With branches and a growing client base in most Australian states, they are committed to growing and developing their business and services, through delivering a diverse range of services to their customers. These services include : National Line Haul, Freight Forwarding, Specialised Logistics Services, Road Train and Tank Container Services.
To manage their growth and customer base effectively within WA, they are looking for an experienced logistics professional to join their team and oversee the day-to-day operational aspects of their business. Working closely with the Managing Director and other departmental managers, this role is seen as critical to the ongoing success of the business.
What do you need to excel in this role?
- A demonstrated background in a similar environment within the logistics sector.
- An understanding of how to manage the day-to-day challenges of effectively utilising your line managers, supervisors, team and your fleet of vehicles.
- The ability to effectively manage a ‘client-facing’ role in a demanding environment.
- Sound knowledge of Heavy Vehicle operations including fatigue, maintenance and load restraint management.
What will you need to achieve?
- Effectively manage and optimise all aspects of Operations, including budgets and staffing levels.
- Ensure that all fleet vehicles and staff are engaged at optimum levels at all times.
- Set the standard in terms of safety management, team engagement and customer service.
- Become a key part of a national management team and a valued asset to both your clients and your colleagues.
