The Operations Manager role is pivotal to Leap Early Learning achieving its vision of consistent high-quality education and care. This role would essentially be responsible for leading our large, passionate team of educators.

Your role will be:

As the Operations Manager, you will support the services ensuring they are all following the organisations guiding policies. The role will require you to spend time at the services with a particular focus on supporting the Assessment and Rating process and ongoing compliance requirements. 

Your qualifications & experience will include:

  • ACECQA Recognised Early Childhood teaching degree/Diploma qualification 
  • Have at least 3 years' experience working in a similar role within an Early Childhood setting
  • Child Protection qualification
  • ACECQA approved First Aid Qualification that includes first aid, emergency asthma management and anaphylaxis management
  • Clear Working with Children Check 
  • Acceptance of role of Nominated Supervisor under the Children (Education and Care Services National Law Application) Bill 2010 and Education and Care Services National Regulations 
  • A proven track record of commitment to excellence in Early Childhood education and care.

Key responsibilities will involve: 

  • Model high level leadership working closely with Centre Managers to champion performance, engagement, professional care and quality education in our workplaces 
  • Proven ability to elevate team commitment to support, educate and care for children and families as our most important priority 
  • Responsible for driving safe & productive operational workplace for all in accordance with Leap Early Learning strategy, values and behaviours
  • Driving business performance to meet key commercial KPI’s
  • Responsible for identifying innovative solutions to operational challenges that foster continuous improvement, team development, optimising resources, and business goals 
  • Ensuring regulatory requirements and processes are monitored, managed and maintained 
  • Actively contributes to workplace performance in line with National Quality Framework standards assisting to elevate work practice, reporting and results 
  • Demonstrate and contribute to operational knowledge, business planning and decision-making processes 
  • Take a lead approach to new Centre openings and community engagement 
  • Act as the leader who engages families when managing escalated concerns to support proactive solutions and safe outcomes in timely manner 

To be considered for this role, it is essential you have: 

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working as a Nominated Supervisor/Operations Manager
  • An Early Childhood Teaching degree or ACECQA approved equivalent qualification
  • Demonstrated solid understanding of:
    • National Quality Framework (NQF)
    • Early Years learning Framework (EYLF)
    • Child Protection legislation & implications (approved Child Protection Training)
    • Workplace Health & Safety legislation and issues
  • Success in leading the teams, managing staff performance and workplace issues. 
  • Exceptional customer service and presentation skills. 
  • Strong knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety practices.
