Your responsibilities will be:
- In partnership with other AMS Group stakeholders, participate in the strategic management of operating and delivery processes including the development, improvement and implementation of relevant plans and processes.
- Lead and supervise onsite maintenance, installation, and commissioning of AMSG maintained infrastructure and electronic systems around the world.
- Lead and manage outage response and works for AMSG maintenance infrastructure and electronic systems around the world.
- Lead and drive the continuous improvement of AMSG technical knowledge, methods, and processes.
- Lead, manage, and drive activities including safe working, budgeting, works programming, reporting, risk management, and procurement.
- Supervise, develop, train and mentor staff and teams in line with company and department objectives, contracted works, and individual training plans.
- Participate in and guide the preparation of BD proposals, estimates, system designs, subunit technical and performance specifications, workflow estimates, engineering design estimates and written technical descriptions.
- Create, develop and sustain engagement with AMS Group internal departments and stakeholders leading to safe, adequate, timely, efficient and on budget delivery of contracted works.
- Lead and undertake administration tasks as and when required including reporting, safety documentation completion and review, site assessments, technical documentation completion and review, photographs and drawings associated with tasks undertaken.
You will have:
- Significant trade knowledge and practical experience on infrastructure systems maintenance and repair
- Significant experience as a project engineer or lead technical role within infrastructure maintenance or project works
- Significant experience and/or ability to plan, coordinate and supervise projects and maintenance sites and depot related works and activities
- Highly developed communications skills including the ability to effectively liaise with a range of employees and clients
- Excellent conceptual and analytical capacity
- Proven ability to work with limited direction, capacity to organise work and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated commitment to teamwork supporting, cooperating, and working with colleagues to achieve an overall objective
- Proven ability to allocate and utilise resources to meet organisational needs and help staff reach their potential
- Goal oriented with commitment to self-development
- Sound knowledge of WHS, Quality & Environmental Management practices
It would be great if you have (but not mandatory):
- Experience in the maritime industry
- An understanding of project execution / delivery principles
Role information:
- Applicants must be Darwin based and entitled to work in Australia.
- This position commences 3rd June 2024, pending successfully securing an exciting perspective tender in the region.
