About the Role
The Operations Manager, In-Home Care is responsible for providing operational leadership for Baptcare's In-Home Care consumers in a geographical region. The role’s overarching objective is to maintain and enhance service excellence in perfect alignment with Baptcare's mission and strategic plan.
This entails fostering a culture of service excellence, where every team member is unwaveringly committed to delivering the highest standard of person-centred care. The Operations Manager will empower and motivate the staff to consistently exceed the expectations of our clients.
Moreover, the role involves pioneering innovative business solutions aimed at expanding revenue within the service and operations division. The Operations Manager will lead the way in identifying growth opportunities, implementing new strategies, and continually improving Baptcare’s service offerings. Simultaneously, the role will ensure that cost leadership becomes a cornerstone commercial capability within the service and operations business teams, ensuring efficient management of operational costs while upholding the quality of care and services provided.
Key Duties
- Ensure the delivery of exceptional, person-centred, and cost-effective care services that meet consumer needs and regulatory requirements within Aged Care.
- Foster a workforce culture that promotes kind, empathetic, caring, welcoming, and respectful interactions with clients while acknowledging their individual identities and cultural diversity.
- Collaborate closely with clinical teams to maintain high standards of care, ensuring that individualised care plans are effectively executed.
- Manage the assessment, monitoring, and evaluation of client outcomes to drive continuous improvement.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, assessment, and equipping of staff to meet client needs in alignment with the Aged Care Quality Standards.
- Set the direction for client experience and service initiatives that embody Baptcare's mission and vision in daily operations.
- Collaborate with the Head of In-Home Carer to implement innovative business process improvements to enhance financial performance and client satisfaction.
About You
You will ideally bring the following:
·Extensive expertise in community-based care management: Superior knowledge and demonstrated application of all aspects of Aged Care Management and associated regulations, ensuring the highest quality of care.
· Proven experience managing a large region: Demonstrated experience in managing diverse regions and expertise to handle diverse challenges and deliver exceptional results.
· Proven leadership and people management skills to achieve operational objectives in accordance with strategic plans.
· Ability to mobilise and engage others in system, process, and behavioural changes as part of organisation transformation efforts.
· Proven ability to empathise and understand consumer and staff needs.
· Effective collaboration with peers and stakeholders to drive business improvement, growth, and foster a culture of service excellence.
· In-depth understanding of laws, regulations, and compliance standards within the Aged Care Industry, along with external drivers of change.
· Demonstrated capability in fostering flexibility and adaptability across Baptcare to meet evolving demands.
· Strong financial management, analytical, and reporting skills to bring a commercial approach to managing In-Home Care portfolios.
· Proven commitment to ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all staff.

- Extensive community-based care leadership experience
- Tertiary qualification in a health-related field
· Post-graduate studies in management or similar business qualification.
· Computer Literacy (Microsoft Office applications) and systems
