Your Next OpportunityJoin us as the GoCo Operations Manager - In-Home Healthcare Supportat Gunnedah Shire Council, a pivotal role in enhancing our vibrant community's quality of life. Based in either Gunnedah or Tamworth, this opportunity is ideal for someone eager to make a meaningful impact in community care, valuing collaboration in a council that deeply cares for its constituents and employees.
You will be essential in leading the delivery of high-quality care to our clients, adhering to relevant legislation and best practices. Under the guidance of the GoCo Executive Manager, your leadership will play a crucial role in enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of our services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading GoCo's service delivery operations to ensure excellence in community care
- Participating in Clinical Governance meetings and overseeing clinical care services
- Managing operational budgets and compliance with funding and legislative requirements
- Providing regular supervision and performance appraisals for direct reports, fostering their professional development
- Actively participating in strategic planning, senior staff meetings, including Risk and CQI meetings
- Ensuring effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders for service delivery excellence

What You’ll Bring to the TeamTo be considered, you should possess a bachelor's degree in any related field. A solid background and extensive experience in operations, management, or similar roles (e.g., business operations, retail management, consumer/client services, etc.) may be considered for this role.
Key requirements for this position include:
- Demonstrated experience in continuous quality improvement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Commitment to adhering to Council's policies and Code of Conduct
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Successful completion of a Police Record check
Desirable qualifications and experience:
- Knowledge of Aged Care legislation and an understanding of the service delivery challenges in this sector
- Previous experience in Local Government settings
- Additional Leadership or Management qualifications
