As the Operations Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our clients' belongings are packed, transported, and stored with the utmost care and professionalism. You'll work closely with our team of skilled movers, coordinating schedules, overseeing quality control, and ensuring that every move goes smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Lead and manage a team of operations supervisors and frontline staff.
- Monitor and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the safety and security of goods.
- Optimise resource allocation to meet customer demand while controlling expenses.
- Ensure that you comply with industry regulations and safety standards.
- Prepare regular reports on operational performance and financial metrics.
- Foster a culture of safety and professionalism within the team.
- Collaborate with senior management to drive business growth and profitability.
- Efficiently allocate personnel, equipment, and storage space to meet customer demand while optimising costs.
About You
- 4+ years of experience as Operations Manager (Logistics/storage/removals industry HIGHLY regarded)
- Highly experienced in building and maintaining customer relationships
- Specific Warehouse Management System skills and exposure to WH&S requirements
- Advanced computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, WMS)
- Awareness of current logistics systems, materials handling equipment and providers
- Forklift License would be beneficial (not essential)
