The Opportunity 

In this role as the Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Operations Manager, your key focus will be to ensure the seamless operation, maintenance, and optimization of our material handling assets.

Reporting to the Group Asset Manager, you will support the strategic and operational management of all aspects related to the handling and utilization of equipment within Visy across ANZ. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing MHE and a passion for driving continuous improvement in operational performance.

The key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Oversee the maintenance and operation of MHE across multiple sites.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure accurate tracking and movement of equipment, managing supplier relationships, and negotiating contracts for equipment procurement and maintenance services
• Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
• Developing and implementing a workshop strategy and fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports related to MHE operations and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Drive innovation through the adoption of new technologies and best practices.

What you will bring to the team:

• Extensive experience in managing Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
• Previous experience using software SAP, Excel, & MS office.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
• Basic understanding of Customer Relationship Management programs (Ramco)
• Financial acumen with experience in budget management.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
