The role:
Due to company growth, we have an opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to join our team. As our Operations Manager, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the seamless functioning of our operational processes, from supply chain to inventory management and logistics and distribution.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end operational processes, including supply chain, production, logistics and distribution.
- Develop strategies to enhance efficiency while maintaining high standards.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Identify opportunities for process optimisation, automation, and innovation to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Manage the production function and procurement process to ensure customers receive quality products within expected timeframes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local and overseas suppliers to ensure products are delivered on time.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to meet current and future customer demands.
- Analyse inventory levels to account for changes in customer demands.
- Lead and inspire our operations team to achieve excellence.
- Prepare and present reports on operational performance, identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and standards, including workplace health and safety, and quality standards.
What we're looking for:
- Tertiary qualified in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the apparel or merchandising industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to develop and implement operational strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
