We attend to many different vessel types and cargoes, and therefore the position has a wide exposure to the maritime sector. With 14 offices in Australia there will be future opportunities for transfer within the GAC network, in Australia and potentially overseas.
Due to growth in our business in Australia, we are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to join our operations team in Townsville.
OPERATIONS OFFICER
This exciting opportunity with a leading shipping agency exists and the successful applicant will be responsible for all facets of vessel operations. From attending to vessels and Master's requirements, to the preparation of ships and cargo documentation as well as liaison with the relevant port authorities and service providers. You will work with a team that offers great workplace culture, passionate, caring, and experienced colleagues, who are motivated and work together to deliver outstanding results to maintain our market position.
This full-time role for an Operations Officer will be reporting to the Port Manager.

Applicant should:
• Have an MSIC or be eligible to apply
• Have a Valid Driver's Licence
• Be Computer Literate
• Good accuracy and attention to detail
• Have Good Communication Skills (Verbal and Written)

Candidates will need to be flexible with working hours as there is a requirement to work weekends and times outside of usual office hours.
Experience within the Ship Agency business is preferred but not essential, training will be provided to the right motivated candidate.
