Position Purpose
Certis is a leading provider of Security Services providing multi-disciplinary smart security and integrated services to major clients across Australia. With a purpose to make our work safer, smarter, better we partner with key industries to ensure best customer practice and relationships. As a key part of our Aviation Security division we are currently sourcing an Operations Performance Manager to join our team, based at Sydney Airport. This critical role will implement and develop strategies to improve operational performance across Sydney Airport Terminals including identifying quality control issues, implementing solutions, ensuring compliance with processes, and effectively communicating with key stakeholders to improve operational performance.
Key Responsibilities- Have a strong presence in the day-to-day operations of all terminals operations, with a hands-on approach.
- Lead, motivate and encourage staff to achieve smooth operations and excellent customer service.
- Manage KPI's and ensure performance meets and exceeds requirements and report monthly data to support the contracted score card.
- Ensure quality and support procedural compliance and customer service across the business.
- Working effectively with internal and external partners such as peers, staff groups, senior management, and external vendors and suppliers to accomplish goals.
- Actively promote positive staff morale and a safe work environment.
- Implement and manage CSDS and eCSDS.
To excel in this role, you will have previous experience in operations, security management or a contract management position. You will be passionate about driving continuous improvement with demonstrated experience in delivering outcome-based improvement intitiatives and have a natural strength in building relationships and for stakeholder engagement. You will also demonstrate:
- Qualifications in Management, Security or a similar field
- Ability to balance priorities and close out tasks while adhering to deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and planning and organization skills.
- Outcome orientation and be pro-active in pursuing goals.
- Adaptability - Maintaining effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or the work environment; adjusting effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements, or cultures.

- Conflict Management - Dealing effectively with others in an antagonistic situation; using appropriate interpersonal styles and methods to reduce tension or conflict
Lean Six Sigma certification, Aviation Security experience and/or Current NSW Security licence highly regarded.
