Operations Services Team Leader

· 9-day fortnight (RDO)· Superannuation Co-Contribution scheme available.· $131,740 + SuperA fantastic foot-in-the-door opportunity awaits!Lead a diverse team of 12 technical professionals to support and provide critical regulatory compliance and technical support to the operational team of the Great Southern Region.With managing such an awesome team, you will touch on almost all parts of the Corporation, ranging from water quality, wastewater, environment to work planning, scheduling, stores, and office administration.Your team work quite independently and efficiently, and you will find regular check-ins to be useful tool, as well as being the escalation point for problem solving issues.You will plan and schedule work in conjunction with the Lead Ranger for this team.Be the forefront of water quality representation and engage with key stakeholders within the Water Quality Business Unit.This position requires travel within 3 district regions at a minimum monthly basis for 1-2 nights. These district areas are made up of:· Lower Great Southern (Albany)· Upper Great Southern (Narrogin)· South Coastal District (Esperance)Once you are settled in, you may find yourself empowered and keen to drive key projects in the region. This is a team that deliver outcomes efficiently and confidently.The fundamentals of the role:· Lead in identifying and addressing safety improvements within the team.· Optimise the management, development, and deployment of people to ensure the Operations Services team has the capability to deliver required business outcomes.· Coordinate compliance monitoring of water and wastewater operations with corporate and external regulatory requirements, including water source abstraction, drinking water quality, wastewater disposal and reuse, environmental impacts.· Analyse operational performance across the Region and identifies performance improvement and risk mitigation opportunities.· Provides advice and support to Regional Service Delivery in respect to Water and Wastewater quality issues, wastewater process and operational issue resolution, environmental compliance, and work planning.· Assist with the identification and analysis of Regional and corporate issues and initiatives for their impact in the Region and across the Corporation, assist with the development and implementation of Regional change initiatives.Ultimately, you will possess:Tertiary level qualifications in an environment, environment science or business.Considerable leadership experience.Bonus points if you have sound knowledge of water related infrastructure assets, schemes, and systems!Excited about this fantastic opportunity?
