About the company:
Our client is a well regarded name in the transport and logistics industry, initially specialising in the transportation of grains and fertilizers to delving into the mining and agricultural industries. They have since diversified into bulk imports, storage, distributions and harvesting, having now constructed a grain storage facility in Kilcummin.
About the role:
Our client is actively seeking a Site Manager to oversee operations at the newly established, purpose built site in picturesque Mt Maclaren, QLD. Located just 40 minutes from Clermont, this unique opportunity offers a chance to immerse yourself in a growing rural setting, with Townsville accessible within approximately 5 hours.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assume management responsibility for the newly built depot in Kilcummin.
* Managing the daily operations of the 200 tonne weighbridge.
* Grain testing and handling, ensuring accuracy and quality, grain reporting & stock reports.
* Oversee day-to-day truck operations, maintaining efficiency and safety.
* Work alongside a dedicated supervisor and a team of workers.
* 5 Day working week (with option to work weekends when loading/unloading).
* Roster management.
Skills/Experience:
* Experience in grains & pulses storage and handling.
* The Ideal candidate should possess a Loader ticket or be willing to obtain one within a short time frame.
* Experience with grain store software.
* General logistics and transportation knowledge would be highly regarded.
