Within our Industrial & Waste Services business unit, we provide total waste management business solutions to our customers including: industrial cleaning services such as non-destructive digging, concrete demolition, high pressure water blasting, vacuum loading, shutdown services, pipe, drain and tank cleaning, emergency spills response and CCTV. We service industries including infrastructure construction, manufacturing, food, agriculture, chemicals, and oil and gas.
Due to internal movement we have a rare opportunity for an Operations Supervisor to join our team based in Whyalla.
Your new role
Reporting to the Branch Manager you will perform duties and be responsible for:
Coordinating and scheduling day to day operations of drivers runs and weekly work schedule
Lead and conduct Toolbox meetings
Consulting with line management in the development and management of operational targets
Ensuring all pre-start, post-run, and minor day to day maintenance tasks are carried out on all equipment
Lead high level of customer service within the team and with our internal and external stakeholders, investigate and resolve service issues
Drive operational efficiencies within the team, continual review and improvement of all scopes of work with the aim to deliver exceptional service delivery
Managing and preparing detailed reports on labor efficiencies and overall cost management
Lead performance management investigations and outcomes
Delivery of a Safety First “Home Safe” message across all scopes of work, by regularly conducting Time In Field Assessments, regular reviewal of all Safe Work Method Statements, Work Instructions and Job Hazard Analysis’
Your skills and experience
Must have a Heavy Rigid Driver Licence
Experience in a supervisory role
Exposure to and knowledge of comprehensive safety management systems
Moderate experience within the transport / waste / logistics and recycling industries desirable
Knowledge of HSE and environmental legislation and ability to work independently
Intermediate Excel and Word experience
Willingness to respond to internal and external stakeholders calls out of hours when required
Knowledge of Industrial Services in a Mining capacity preferable
