About the role
Based at Kemps Creek and reporting to the Branch Manager, the Operations Supervisor is responsible for the operational functions and tasks within the branch. This includes management of our company drivers and the company fleet and the coordination and distribution of the daily work sheets for our drivers. The successful candidate must be confident, well organised and have an eye for detail. The role requires a comprehensive approach to efficiency and safety, with the branch performance heavily reliant on the skills and disciplines instilled by the Operations Supervisor.
The Role
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Chain of Responsibility understanding
- Fatigue Management / compliance
- Management of a team of company and owner drivers
- Coordinating and assessing daily driver routes
- Asset management and record keeping
- Customer and driver communication
- Delivery of tool box meetings
- Efficiency and process improvement implementation
- Yard supervision and planning
- Reporting
- Adherence and management of safety protocols within the branch
About your experience and skills
- 3 years operational experience within the waste management industry or similar
- An understanding of trucks and asset/small fleet management
- Supervisory experience of drivers and a small office team
- Strong PC and computer literacy skills
- Confidence engaging with all stakeholders including customers, our drivers and internal teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility
- Time management skills that are consistent and rigid
- A high level of attention to detail
- Willingness to cover all aspects of the business
