See Differently with the Royal Society for the Blind is seeking an experienced Field Services Manager (with a Clinical background) to oversee Service Delivery, Lead Clinical Governance, and drive innovation and change management initiatives.

The opportunity
 
Under the direction of the Executive Manager of Client Services, the Field Services Manager is responsible for the management of day-to-day operations of the Orientation and Mobility, Optometry, Occupational Therapy and Business Development Teams.
 
The successful candidate will work with the Executive Manager of Client Services to ensure the delivery of high quality, efficient and person centered care. You will oversee the budget, productivity and staff planning for the clinical areas under your remit and have a strong focus on innovation, projects and change management initiatives. 
 
Your duties will include:
 
As a senior leader in the organisation, your duties will include:

  • Work collaboratively with all members of the field /client services teams.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders and partners through business development activities in liaison with the Business Development Manager
  • Attend and lead relevant staff and team meetings
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of highly effective business strategies that focus on revenue development, cost controls and new business developments.
  • Coordinate effective rostering systems across the whole of Field/Client Services in partnership with the Service Partners Team Manager.
  • Contribute to and lead improvements in clinical resources with a focus on business innovation and sustainability.
  • In collaboration with Executive Manager, Client Services develop new and innovative systems to improve client appointments / client flow through billing / time spent waiting / patient satisfaction etc.
  • Contribute to the achievement of the goals as outlined in the Strategic Plan and the overall objectives of the organisation.
  • Create a collaborative team environment that delivers on mission and balances sustainability.
  • Conduct clinical governance meetings with Quality, Risk and Compliance Team and act as a member of the Clinical Governance committee.
  • Conduct case conferences when required and effectively and proactively participate in complaint resolution.
 
 
Your skills and expertise
  • Minimum five years high level management and administration skills and experience
  • Evidence of relevant budget and financial management experience
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills including written, verbal and negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to provide leadership to the organisation, both internally and with external stakeholders.
  • Five years of experience required in a health care setting involving supervisory and management responsibilities of greater than 10 clinical and service support staff.
  • Effective people management skills and employee relations experience
  • Strong communication, influencing, negotiating and operations management skills, including resolving issues between clinical, support and operations staff.
  • High Level writing skills and ability demonstrated experience in producing high level documents such as service reports, business case’s and grant
