The Role and What It Entails
As the Site Supervisor, you’ll work within a team environment to coordinate and assist in the organisation and management of each new home that is undertaken by CKS Projects.
You will be expected to travel to each construction site daily, to ensure schedule, quality and safety requirements are being adhered to.
Weekly consultation with the Managing Director/Builder will be required to report on the following for each job;
- Job Scheduling and efficiency
- Quality Assurance
- Safety concerns/issues
- Updates on Tradesmen and fellow employees
- Contractor performance
- Maintenance items from previous jobs
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
As our Site Supervisor, you're not just working a job – you're steering the manifestation of dreams. Drawing on your expertise and leadership skills, these are some of the Core Objectives/ responsibilities you are expected to perform:
- Co-ordinate the construction of each home in a timely and efficient manner
- Ensure the highest quality of each home is maintained throughout the entire build
- Daily use of our on-line project management system
- Efficient planning of carpentry teams to ensure optimum productivity is achieved
- Maintain consistent communication with clients throughout the building process
- Maintain effective communication skills with CKS Projects management, contractors, clients, and fellow workers.
- Be willing to assist and lead our carpenters and get your hands dirty when required
- To represent CKS Projects in a professional manner at all times.
- Be a leader and inspire the team daily.
Who are we looking for?
- Someone who is passionate about residential building design and construction
- Someone who will take ownership and responsibility for the projects
- Someone who subscribes to never ending learning and improvement
Essential Criteria:
- Someone with a carpenter/joiner Certificate
- Someone who has Certificate IV in Residential Building.
- Has a current “C” class (manual) Australian driver’s license.
- Has a wide general experience in the carpentry trade (at least five + years’ post-trade experience) including experience in current building practices.
- Has experience in a Supervisory role within the residential construction industry
- Has a current Knowledge of the Building Code of Australia (BCA)
- Has excellent Communication Skills, Attention to Detail, the ability to Work with a Team, someone who is Productive and Efficient, Planning and Organising skills, Outstanding Leadership Skills, and problem-solving skills.
