About the Role
Leading a team, the Operations Support & Readiness Supt. is accountable for multiple asset’s inventory, inventory planning and projects support for multiple locations. The Superintendent is also accountable for managing vendors which hold Woodside inventory. Superintendent is primarily made up of Woodside Energy employees or Third Party Contractors. The Superintendent is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive inventory strategy for projects and maintenance activities; overseeing all strategic planning, execution of material readiness and logistical support across the multiple businesses within the region. All work is to be done in accordance with the HSEC standards of Woodside Energy and aligned with our Charter Values.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead and develop the Operations Support & Readiness (OS&R) team to support Projects and Production facilities inventory and logistics related activities.
Lead interface with multiple Operations teams and Suppliers in support of operating assets.
Promote and enforce company HSEC standards with contractors and 3rd party suppliers.
Accepts accountability for performance management of the OS&R team and ensures quality of tasks and services of the team.
Influence management to align on Warehouse, Inventory and Logistics strategy, inventory forecasts, disposals, and day to day material strategies.
Liaise with Supply management and Operations leadership to provide key insights on the sub-function and contribute towards effective management of inventory operations.
Provide necessary leadership that will ensure SAP processes are understood and adhered to across the sub function.
Lead improvement of operating standards across all OS&R processes of receiving, issuing, storage, inventory optimization, disposals, working capital targets, etc.
Solves complex problems with materials availability through root cause analysis, identification of solutions and influence through positive change management.
Support Regional Inventory Partners in influencing business decisions around inventory strategy and materials management across multiple stakeholder groups in the regions.
Provides input into long-term planning (RPD - Life of Asset, 5-year plan, 2-year budget and short-range forecast).
Ensure all materials are available for planned requirements and meet quality standards established by business through standard procedures; Handle reverse logistics to ensure timely return, inventory accuracy, and repair of material.
Promote and manage adherence to Inventory processes, SOX compliance and relevant Standards.
Work with inventory owners and vendors to identify opportunities for stock rationalisation and / or vendor held stocking arrangements
Ensure W&I plans meet forecasted requirements, taking into account estimated lead times for equipment and materials
Analyse data and contribute to decision making on optimum inventory level while balancing working capital.
Lead team to ensure parts are delivered on-time to warehouses for utilization in Production maintenance activities
Assist in fulfilling audit responses
Ensure material movements within provided systems to ensure integrity and distribution of material expense
Manage material disposals and subsequent sales to 3rd party buyers as required
Control inventory stock levels and critical spares to minimize costs associated with surpluses, slow mowing, obsolete and damaged materials
Contribute to the evaluation, selection and management of suppliers and contractors
Ensure required preservation or maintenance of materials is performed according to asset-level plan.
Help develop modern warehouse solutions, minimizing footprint
Resource planning for future warehousing and materials management needs
Develop just in time and 3PL strategies
Ensure Supply Chain alignment with Operations’ maintenance strategies
Ensure supply chain master data and inventory strategies are developed in SAP and Inventory management software
Integrate systematic tools such as SAP, TMS, etc. for BAU Operations support
Skills & Experience:
4-year post-secondary degree
Graduate Degree preferred
Preferred 10+ years of Materials Management, inventory control, logistics and procurement experience, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry
Preferred 6+ years of experience leading teams in Materials Management, Warehouse and Logistics principles
Knowledge of Materials Management, Inventory control, Purchasing and contracting practices within the Woodside Energy systems
Strong knowledge of materials and services within Oil and Gas Production and how Woodside Energy utilizes them
Strong knowledge of offshore production facilities and support equipment
Knowledge of how to interpret equipment manuals and drawings
Excellent personal, interpersonal and communication skills
Strong HSEC record with knowledge of local regulations
