Operations Technical Resource

  

This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2-3 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Description:

   

We currently have an opening for an Operations Technical Resource within our ITOC Team in Newcastle. 

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Be a team player (humble, energetic, hungry and smart) and work towards team goals.
  • Successfully resolve technical issues by driving incidents, service request and problems through to resolution.
  • Provide input to the customer for strategic and planning purposes.
  • Responsible for the technical deliverables in the customer’s Statement of Work (SoW)
  • Ensure all established ITOC processes and procedures are adhered to. In particular, Incident, Problem and Change Management.
  • Understand and utilise ITIL methodology.
  • Represent and lead a HPE team in a face to face customer location visit.
  • Create and provide documentation and diagrams to assist delivery.
  • Explore proactive opportunities that increase performance, availability, capacity and resiliency of the managed service and the customer environment.
  • Assists in relationship building HPE ITOC Australia and the customer.
  • Provide analysis and make technical recommendations in the monthly report.
  • Experience working with windows, Linux, VMware and other virtualisation technologies.
  • Work in on-call roster and perform required work after-hours as necessary.

About You:

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a range of IT technologies, and specialist knowledge in appointed position.
  • Experience in supporting HPE and other vendor server, storage, backups and Networking products.
  • Good communication and soft skills and qualifications that match position.
  • Establishes and maintains co-operative and productive work relationships
  • Ensures customer expectations are realistic, mutually understood and satisfied to that level.  Responds to the needs of external and internal customers
  • Results orientated and takes action to ensure deadlines and customer commitments are met
  • Ability to plan and prioritise workload
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and active listening skills
