In this role, you'll:
Sitting within the Rail Operations team, this is a unique opportunity for an Operations Trainer to join Sydney Trains on a Fixed Term basis in a role where you have the chance to combine your passion for developing other people with the safety focused area of Signalling.
This role will see you provide training and assessment services in Network Operations to ensure that staff maintain and further develop necessary competencies and liaise with a variety of stakeholders to provide information and advice on training gaps identified from operational issues.
You will also evaluate, develop and maintain training and assessment services and material ensuring compliance with business requirements, best practice training and adult learning principles, training policies and procedures, industry standards and relevant legislation and regulations.
This position plays a key role in providing competency based training and assessment for Network Operations employees, to ensure staff have the competencies required to undertake their work in a skilled, safe and effective manner, as required by Sydney Trains and relevant standards and legislation.

About you
We are looking for an Operations Trainer who has strong knowledge and understanding of train working operations, safe working rules and procedures. Other key capabilities essential to your success include;
High level written and verbal communication skills, able to work collaboratively across all levels with a strong customer focus.
Strong stakeholder engagement especially focusing in the ability to negotiate and influence others.
Aptitude to work on a fasted paced environment and adapt to constant changes.
