Trainers & Assessors - Security Operations & Security Management

Our RTO, Training & Safety Solutions (TSS) develops programs and delivers the training required for our Custodial Officers and Security Officers within our correctional facilities, and regional processing centres. We also provide training that gives support, hope and opportunities to the disadvantaged within our communities providing people with opportunities for a better life. 

We are seeking experienced and qualified Vocational Trainers and Assessors who hold and are able to deliver:

• CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations.
• CPP40719 Certificate IV in Security Management. 

It would be an added advantage if you also held qualifications in, Work, Health, and Safety, Provide First Aid, or any high-risk qualifications.

An exciting part of the role is the requirement to be able to travel regionally, interstate and internationally as the role requires.

As a Trainer and Assessor, you will play a pivotal role in educating and enhancing the skills of our staff and students.  Your expertise will contribute to elevating our staff capabilities in handling diverse security and operational challenges effectively. 

Specifically, you will:

• Facilitate training and assessment activities within a classroom and online environment.
• Work collaboratively to maintain and monitor staff/student records.
• Ensure compliance with the VET Quality Framework.
• Assist with validation of course resources.
• Participate in continuous improvement of courses and course materials.

To be considered for these roles candidates must possess the following: 

Mandatory Qualifications 

• TAE40116, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its replacement.
• Certificate II in Security Operations; and/ or
• Certificate IV in Security Management

Skills and experience

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Security Officer.
• Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning, including competency-based training and assessment.  
• Willing to travel, as required of the role.
• Hold a current driver’s licence.
• Must be able to obtain a clear police check.
• Have a current Passport or willingness to obtain.
