About the vacancy
Working as part of a team, our Operator Labourers - Sweeping are responsible for undertaking street sweeping activities across the Council areas. The team undertake a variety of labouring tasks alongside street sweeping, including using tools such as blowers, and manual handling tasks such as raking and sweeping to keep Council streets and areas clean.
While the street sweeping function is programmed, there are often requirements for reactive responses ensuring high standards of service to the community. Early starts, late finishes and flexibility to work across other teams may also be required.

About you
We are seeking applications from candidates who have an MR truck licence and White Card Accredited, and experience as a sweeper operator would be highly regarded.
The successful candidate will be a team player who has a strong customer service focus, can work autonomously and efficiently taking pride in delivering quality services to the community.
The position is offered on a full-time permanent basis and classified at the ME6 level, with an annual starting salary of $71,641 per annum plus superannuation.
