About the Role
A great opportunity has arisen for an Operator Maintainer to join Santos on a 2:2 roster, with Roma as the point-of-hire. Reporting directly to the Operations Team Leader, this role is responsible for the operation and maintenance of equipment within the Roma field production area.

Key accountabilities include but not limited to:
- Carry out routine field duties as per Reliability Management Plans and Integrity Plans, as specified by daily, weekly, and monthly checks and the Integrated Work Schedule
- Operate equipment at optimum efficiency to maintain gas flow rates and ensure nominations are met.
- Respond in a timely fashion when critical equipment is reported malfunctioning or unserviceable.
- Competently operate, monitor, and maintain production equipment so that operating life is enhanced, and damage is avoided.
- Participate in the scoping, planning and execution of scheduled maintenance and shutdowns.
- Isolate and prepare equipment for maintenance.
- Monitor field production data and assist engineering staff to enhance field productivity.
- Maintain a close working relationship and a high level of communication with other operations personnel and production engineering team and build positive relationships for a positive outcome.
- Manage shutdowns during unplanned or emergency situations.
About You
You will be a dedicated team player who has a proven proactive and flexible approach along with strong communication skills. You will be able to cultivate and maintain close working relationships with varied stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
To be successful in the role you will have excellent time management skills with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances as they arise.
Experience in a similar role within the oil and gas industry or similar will be highly regarded. Holding a certificate in process plant operations or a mechanical trade will be highly regarded, as will holding a HR Drivers Licence.
