An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced Plastics Recycling/Extrusion Operator, in our recycling plant who possesses good interpersonal and communication skills and can confidently work under minimal guidance.
The Role
This person will be a member of an efficient, dynamic and productive manufacturing team, which ensures outcomes are achieved in the most timely and cost effective manner. The plant operates 24 hours over 3 shifts.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a solid extrusion and plastics background in recycling or plastics compounding.
The role is for set shifts working a standard 38 hour week.
Responsibilities Include:
- Ensure plant and machinery is operated to stated procedures and standards.
- Manufacture product to the specified quality.
- Responsible for the equipment and area which has been assigned for the work period.
- Play an active role in progressing the organisation for the future.
- Ensure plant and area is maintained to agreed standards.
- Ensure Health & Safety standards are adhered to.
The Individual:
- Must have a “can do” attitude with flexibility
- Perform duties in a workmanship like manner.
- Share in the responsibility of the overall work site.
- Participate in relevant training development and skills progression.
- Have a forklift licence or ability to attain the skills for a forklift licence.
- Process control with particular emphasis on reduction of waste and maximising output.
