Exciting Opportunity
We are looking for an additional Ophthalmic Nurse or Ophthalmic Technician to join our team! You will work alongside our specialist, our existing team of Ophthalmic Nurses and optometrists, as well as our fabulous admin staff.
This role is 2-3 days a week and would suit a candidate who is after work-life balance and enjoys making a difference to people's lives, in a streamlined and well-established practice.

We are a specialist Ophthalmology Practice in Brisbane and have committed to providing the highest level of eye care for over 20 years. Our areas of specialty include cataract surgery, macular degeneration treatments, and retinal detachment emergency care.
We have a well-appointed practice environment for our patients and staff and are equipped with the latest diagnostic technology. We are seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Nurse or Ophthalmic Technician who is as passionate about patient care as we are to join our team.
Tasks & Duties
- Initial patient workup including case history, medications, vision and eye pressure assessment
- Diagnostic assessments including OCT, wide-field retinal imaging, A-scans and visual field
- Assisting with minor procedures including injections and laser therapy
- Sterilization of medical instruments and managing clinical stock
Attributes & Experience
- Prior experience in private ophthalmology settings
- Outstanding clinical and communication skills
- Strong rapport with patients is absolutely essential
