This is a long-term contract role starting on Friday, 29 March 2024, with an initial contract duration of 6 months and the potential for 3 extensions of 1 month each. The position is located at our client's offices in ACT (Majura Park), with on-site presence required for a minimum of 3 days per week.
As the selected candidate, you will:
- Have a background as an Oracle Developer / Oracle Data Engineer with strong proficiency in Oracle database technologies, SQL, PL/SQL, and experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE).
- Possess experience with cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Azure Platform, with knowledge of cloud-based data warehousing, ETL, and analytics services highly desirable.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of data modeling concepts and experience designing and implementing relational and dimensional data models.
- Utilize analytical skills to analyze complex data sets and identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Showcase strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle Database Developer, with a solid track record of developing, optimizing, and managing complex Oracle database systems.
- Experience with database migrations, performance tuning, and implementing advanced features of Oracle 11g and 19c.
- Familiarity with Federal Government ICT.
- Development proficiency in Oracle and Azure databases and related tools, with Oracle certifications and training in Oracle technologies, cloud platforms, and Data Engineering highly desirable.
- Familiarity with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) or other agile methodologies.
- Possession of an NV1 security clearance is preferable, with a baseline security clearance as a minimum requirement.
- Oracle certifications and training in Oracle technologies, cloud platforms, and Data Engineering.
- Experience or exposure to agile practices.
