The role

The Oracle ERP Specialist - HCM holds a critical position within the WAPHA's Digital Services team, tasked with ensuring the seamless functioning and enhancement of the Oracle Fusion Suite and Support Services. This role encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities, including providing Level 2/3 support, facilitating data maintenance, and driving continuous functional improvement in an Agile environment. Collaborating closely with the People & Culture team, the specialist assists in solution design, configuration, and documentation to support HCM functions. Furthermore, they lead efforts in managing test and production environments, maintaining interfaces with external applications such as ADP Payforce, job aggregator Broadbean, and spearheading system upgrades and enhancements. The role demands a blend of technical prowess, stakeholder management acumen, and a proactive approach to problem-solving to ensure the effective utilisation and evolution of Oracle ERP solutions within the organisation.

This role will be offered as full-time Max-term contract for 18 months and offers the flexibility to work from home and office.

Key tasks and responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Formulate solution designs based on ongoing functional enhancement requirements.
  • Provide Level 2 and 3 incident management and problem resolution.
  • Manage Level 4 Oracle support services and technical service delivery.
  • Support Oracle Domain Leads for HCM in the People & Culture team with the development of standardized reports and dashboards.
  • Initiate and manage process improvements through business modelling workshops.
  • Build the ERP HCM training curriculum based on detailed learning needs analysis with the People & Culture team.
  • Manage test and production environments and related interfaces.
  • Maintain interfaces between Oracle and other applications like ADP Payforce and Job Aggregator Broadbean.
  • Develop reports in Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI).
  • Configure user security (RBAC for screen, field, and data access).
  • Lead quarterly system upgrades and related regression testing, maintenance, and enhancements.
  • Conduct process familiarisation workshops to demonstrate the configuration of the cloud solution.

About you

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following selection criteria:

Essential experience and education

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related study, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of working experience with complex administration of Oracle Fusion - Cloud HCM and Identity Cloud.
  • Experience with ETL tools such as Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), File-based data import (FBDI) Migration, and ADF Desktop Integration (AFDI) Excel management.
  • Proven ability to perform analysis, design, configuration, and test activities for Oracle Cloud ERP and HCM solutions.
  • Excellent vendor and stakeholder management skills and a consultative approach.
  • Experience with Oracle Database 10g, 11g, or 12c, including building SQL queries and writing PL/SQL code.
  • Knowledge and experience in agile software development lifecycle and project management methodology.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, design and solve business problems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues for both implementation projects and BAU support services.
  • Good understanding of the support processes associated with the Oracle Cloud platform.
