About the role
Reporting to the Group Manager, Organisational Development and Change the Organisational Development Business Partner is accountable for supporting the delivery of strategic outcomes that enhance workforce performance and capability and organisational culture
The Organisational Development Business Partner is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating Organisational Development and Workforce Planning strategies, programs and projects to support and enhance organisational culture and leadership and employee capability, engagement and well-being across Southern Ports.
The successful applicant will be required to work with internal stakeholders at each of the Southern Ports locations so flexibility to travel is required. The successful applicant can be located at any of the 3 regional ports or in our West Perth office. The likelihood of travel will be once a month to all 3 sites.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develops, implements and evaluates strategies and programs to support and enhance organisational culture and leadership and employee capability, engagement and well-being across Southern Ports.
  • Develops, implements and evaluates Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategies and programs.
  • Contributes to the Southern Ports’ Workforce Planning function and develops, implements and evaluates strategies and tools to effect data driven workforce and succession planning outcomes.
  • Independently manages work projects applying contemporary project management principles.
  • Provides advice and support to the Executive and senior leaders across Southern Ports in relation to Organisational Development and Workforce Planning.
  • Contributes collaboratively as a member of the Organisational Development and Change team and partners with other People and Sustainability teams.

Experience and Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Organisational Development or another relevant field
  • Demonstrated experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of Organisational Development and workforce planning strategies and initiatives in a medium to large size organisation
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Knowledge of contemporary Organisational Development and workforce planning principles and practices
  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively as the member of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the demonstrated ability to engage and influence clients and stakeholders at all levels
  • Well-developed conceptual and analytical skills and proven ability to apply these skills in the design and delivery of workplace strategies
  • Well-developed organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities

Requirements
To be eligible for this 2-year fixed term full-time role, applicants must provide proof of Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
The successful applicant must have a current WA driver’s licence, be able to obtain and maintain a Maritime Security Access Card and undergo a pre-employment medical assessment including drug and alcohol testing.
