Prosthetist / Orthotist,
Grade 1, fixed term - 2 years, full-time

About the role
Applications are invited to fill a 2 year fixed term Grade 1 clinical position in the Prosthetic and Orthotic Department at Grampians Health in Ballarat. Prosthetic and Orthotic Services (at the Queen Elizabeth Centre) is a vibrant, busy service in a large regional health network. The service boasts a purpose-built facility, in the sub-acute service setting, that operates as an integral part of a progressive rehabilitation service.
The P&O department provides service to all age groups, for inpatients and outpatients. We provide a complete prosthetic service from acute inpatient to ongoing outpatient treatment. The orthotic service offers a wide range of custom-made and prefabricated orthoses. Our supportive and dynamic team has recently introduced the use of CAD CAM, and you will be joining a culture which is supportive of education, clinical supervision, and a focus on teamwork.
The Grade 1 position is a rotating position, which includes exposure to multiple key clinical service areas, including Prosthetic and Orthotic inpatients on acute and rehabilitation wards; paediatric and adult outpatient orthotics (private and public) including in the High Risk Foot Clinic and the DDH clinic; and interim and definitive prosthetic management.
