OSHC Educator
Star of the Sea Catholic Primary School is a triple stream school catering for children in our Early Learning Centre (rated exceeding in all 7 Quality Areas) through to Year 6. The school currently accommodates nearly 740 students, with a dedicated team of teachers, teaching assistants and administrators. The school is situated in the Centre of Rockingham and is easily accessible from the suburbs of Rockingham, Safety Bay, Waikiki, Warnbro, Baldivis, Port Kennedy, Shoalwater and Cooloongup.
Star of the Sea Primary School in Rockingham is currently seeking childcare educators to join our friendly, enthusiastic and professional team. The successful applicant will be part of an integrated, whole-school approach to high-quality children's services, embracing the National Quality Framework.
We require an enthusiastic and self-motivated applicant to work flexible hours within the operating times of 6am - 6pm. The position is full-time with the option of Part-time if agreed upon at the interview. It is expected that the successful applicant will be required for before and after school hours (6am opening, 6pm closing) during School Terms and during Vacation Care. The applicant will be in charge of leading a team whilst assisting with the day-to-day running of the OSHC. The applicant will report to the Nominated Supervisor and Business Manager.
Applicants should have at a MINIMUM:
- Certificate IV in Children's Services or School Aged Education and Care or Education Support covering the age range of 4-12 years under the Australian Qualifications Framework or Degree / Diploma in children's services covering the age range of 4-12 years or
- Certificate III or Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or
- Completed 50% of an Early Childhood Teaching Degree
- Extensive knowledge of the National Quality Framework
- NCCHC Police Clearance or willing to obtain
- Working With Children Check or willing to obtain
- Approved First Aid (HLTAID004)
- Asthma Management and Anaphylaxis Certificate or be willing to obtain
- Supervising Officer Certificate or be willing to obtain
