OT Communications Technician FIFO/DIDO

FTP is seeking a skilled and motivated Operational Technology Technician to join our Professional Services team. 

As an OT Field Technician, you will be required to install, maintain, program and provide technical support for communications and technology equipment and infrastructure. You will work closely with the cross-functional teams and stakeholders onsite.

Familiarity with the QLD Mining industry would be an advantage and your commitment to safety and quality will be paramount. 

The successful applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment medical examination including a drug and alcohol screen.

This role will be based onsite at a mine near Moranbah on a 7:7 FIFO or DIDO roster. 

Key Responsibilities

As part of our Professional Services Team, your duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Install and maintain communications and technology systems/equipment
• Provide technical support for communications and technology equipment and infrastructure
• Configure and test communications and technology devices
• Installation, testing and configuration of network solutions,
• Stakeholder engagement and consultation,

What you will bring:

• Tertiary qualification in electrical/electronics, communications systems, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience in supporting:
  • Onboard Fleet Management system Hardware, including Modular Dispatch, and CAT Terrain. (Preferred)
  • OT Networks (Routing, Switching and Firewalls) Cisco, Cambium Wireless networks (Mandatory)
  • Digital Radio Systems: Motorola, Tait (Desirable). 
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively to implement and maintain standards across all areas.
• Working Rights within Australia (Mandatory)
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical examination including a drug and alcohol screen. (Mandatory)
• Australian Drivers Licence (Mandatory)
• A Current Standard 11/Coal Board Medical.
