About the role
As the OSHC Coordinator, you are responsible for the planning and implementation of both our OSHC program and holiday care service. Overseeing these services, which incorporate both our Early Learning Centre (ELC) and Junior School students, you are the ‘responsible person’ during OSHC opening hours. This is in accordance with ACECQA regulations and the successful candidate must be familiar with EYLF, MTOP.
Whilst the OSHC Coordinator role is part-time, there is the opportunity to negotiate additional hours, to fulltime, in our Early Learning Centre as a Co-Educator during term time.
Responsibilities
The daily priorities of this role will be varied, however, will encompass the following key areas:
- Plan high-quality engaging programs.
- Use of a range of strategies to meet student’s individual needs.
- Work closely with the Walford Early Learning Centre Director and manage the OSHC learning environments.
- Plan regular meeting times with staff.
- Maintain a Quality Improvement Plan (QIP)in partnership with the ELC (QIP) for the service in accordance with the National Quality Standards regulatory requirements.
- Respect the diverse backgrounds, experiences, abilities and needs of all children.
- Promote positive attitudes and wellbeing with children.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- At a minimum a Diploma of Children’s Services (Early Childhood Education and Care) as recognised by ACECQA.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate - HLTAID012 / HLTAID004.
- Training including emergency asthma management training, anaphylaxis management training and diabetes in schools training.
- Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect training (RRHAN-EC) (Fundamentals and Masterclass).
