A new service based in Reservoir is looking for a passionate and organised Coordinator for children in our before and after school care capacity. This is a permanent part-time position at 20.5 hours per week all year round - the perfect balance!
You will need to be available Monday - Friday 02:30 - 06:00 PM (Stay and Play Program) plus 3 additional admin hours. There will also potentially be some mornings and training sessions, as well as shifts at other services as needed.
In addition to a competitive salary, there is also a $500 commencement bonus at the completion of first month plus another $500 loyalty bonus at 12 months + split shift allowance + uniform allowance + other benefits + super.
About the role
Leading a team of Educators, you will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years. You'll have the support of a state specific office, plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service.
- Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into!
- Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents
- Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management
- Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration

About the service
Based in Reservoir, this new service would see you embedded in a small and cooperative school community. The service is dual-staffed and the existing permanent educator has many years of knowledge of the school community expectations, children and families. Operating out of a shared space, the team have access to arts and crafts materials, taps, and some kitchen amenities. There is a large amount of outdoor play space which the kids enjoy!
Who are we looking for?
We can teach you about the job and sector, but a few basics you need to have:
- Enjoy working with kids and able to work with families and the school community to build interest in the program
- Strong and clear communication
- Previous experience in OSHC
- Creativity and willingness to think outside the box
- Hold or willing to obtain a national police check (we'll pay for it!) and a state check for working with children
- Australian work rights
- Preferably Diploma qualified
