Taradale Primary School OSHClub - only 15 minutes from Castlemaine and Kyneton is looking for a passionate and dedicated Coordinator to provide engaging services for children in our after school care capacity. This is a permanent part-time position for 18 - 28 hours per week guaranteed, assisting in leading a team of Educators at a small sized service located at south-east of Bendigo. This is a fantastic opportunity for those experienced in working with children, dedicated to take ownership of an existing great service and passionate about development of a team with great support structure provided by the leadership team.
Hours are as follows: Taradale Monday - Friday, 03:00 - 06:00 PM (Stay and Play Program) plus additional admin hours. If you want more hours, you can also pick up mornings at nearby Harcourt Valley. PLUS can pick up extra hours during the school holidays too!
In addition to a competitive salary, there is also a $500 commencement bonus at the end of first month plus another $500 loyalty bonus at 12 months + uniform allowance + other benefits + super.
About the role
Leading a team of Educators, you will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years. You'll have the support of a state specific office, plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service.
- Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into!
- Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents.
- Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration.

About the school
Taradale OSHClub is a beautiful service located in the school's multipurpose art and cooking building. They share the space with the school and have their own office space. They set up the service each night ready for the children to come and play. They average 8 or more children an afternoon and have access to the schools' gardens and outdoor play spaces. The school and OSHClub have a big interest in outdoor environments and letting the children explore nature.
Who are we looking for?
We can teach you about the job and sector, but a few basics you need to have:
- Enjoy working with kids.
- Strong and clear communication.
- Team player with a desire to become a service leader.
- Hold or willing to obtain a national police check (we'll pay for it!) and a state check for working with children.
- Australian work rights.
- Diploma qualified, or willing to enrol
