The Role:
A FIFO Role working a 2:1 roster on a mine site. The primary purpose of this role is to manage and coordinate equipment packages and to ensure that the packages are executed in a safe, efficient, cost effective and timely manner. Acting as the primary technical co-ordination interface with the supplier/vendor to ensure that the equipment conforms to the project approved specifications and all applicable regulatory and code requirements.
Responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining a HSE focus in the team to ensure OHSE requirements are included in design and procurement
- Establish, maintain and build healthy client relationships and resolve project issues with the client as they arise
- Effectively manage assigned package budgets within scope
- Effective and clear communication with design team and third parties and accurate and effective reporting to the engineering manager
- Set clear objectives to the design team and manage inter-discipline interfaces effectively
- Assist where required with the procurement process throughout the project to ensure goods meet specification, are delivered on time and within budget
- Identifies potential risks or new risks as the package progresses and effectively develop risk mitigation, contingency and resolution plans.
About You:
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
- A recognised engineering degree in the relevant discipline or equivalent.
- Pro-active, goal oriented with excellent attention to detail.
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status is preferred
- Previous technical, practical and leadership experience in mechanical or electrical disciplines and proven experience in project management/ supervisory/ workshare co-ordination / EPCM projects.
- Experience working in a mining environment
- You will be an enthusiastic team player, with excellent stakeholder management skills
