As an Application Packaging Engineer, you will be dedicated to delivering the best workplace technology experience for all teams across CBA. You will be an experienced Application Packaging Engineer with a focus on quality, a keen interest in customer satisfaction and a thirst to learn as well as share knowledge. You will be joining a team accountable for delivering applications to over 60K physical and virtual Windows endpoints.

We're interested in hearing from people who have expertise in the following areas:
Application Packaging
- Create Windows Installer (MSI, MSIX) packages as required with specific adherence to best practices and the Windows Installer SDK
- Liaise with Software Custodians to obtain relevant information and installation media
- Liaise with software Custodians/SMEs to perform Troubleshooting and UAT
- Liaise with software vendors and other third parties to gather information required to complete the package
- Perform Unit testing to ensure correct functionality
- Perform Sociability testing to ensure that no adverse effects are introduced
Software Deployment
- Schedule and manage software deployments via SCCM
- Liaise with colleagues across the enterprise to ensure that the deployment schedule does not conflict with other activities
- Adhere change management protocols
Standards & Solution Design
- Manage and maintain the Definitive Media Library
- Manage and maintain the Application Packaging environment
- Develop and refine packaging standards documentation
- Identify inefficiencies and champion changes that promote effective work practises
- Adhere to CBA change management processes
Support
- Provide 3rd level support in accordance with response and resolution SLAs
- Proactively address problems to reduce the risk of incidents and outages
- Promote knowledge sharing though documentation, wiki articles and other interactions with colleagues
- Actively assist with issues in Problem Management
Desirable Skills and Experience
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don't expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team;
- Scripting/Automation (PowerShell, VBScript)
- Applied knowledge in the following areas: Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP, Virtualisation (VMWare VDI, V-Sphere, Hyper-V),
- Reporting and Documentation
- Strong corporate experience
