About the Project:
BP is transforming its former oil refinery in Kwinana to an integrated energy hub, where it plans to produce biofuels and renewable hydrogen. Worley is proud to be providing engineering services to the BP Kwinana Renewable Fuels Project and to contribute to a more sustainable world for a new era of renewable fuels. The Kwinana Renewable Fuels Project is one of bp’s five biofuel projects across the globe as BP aim’s to produce around 100,000 barrels of biofuels per day by 2030. Here’s your opportunity to join a purpose-driven project.
The Role:
Manage delivery of multi discipline packages on large project, supervising Package Engineers, for a large number of packages, in line with delivery schedule.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for the team delivering procurement packages through the complete package life cycle (RFQ, Supplier bid and evaluation, Recommendation for Award, manufacture, delivery) in accordance with the schedule
· Liaise with Project Controls for schedule management of assigned packages
· Liaise with bp counterparts
· Oversight of the entire Package Engineering team (Home Office and Support Offices)
· Project meeting attendance and participation
· Ensure package KO meetings are set up and chaired appropriately
· Drives timely reviews both internally and with customer to maintain schedule delivery
· Drive the coordination of multi-discipline input to key packages (Criticality rating assessments, TBEs, document reviews etc)
· Supporting as point of escalation for issue resolution raised by Package Engineers
· Monitor team size, capacity, requirements and performance
· Deliver in accordance with the overall project schedule
· Aptitude to monitor, identify areas requiring attention and seek to resolve
Qualifications
What you will bring
- An Australian recognised Bachelor qualification in mechanical engineering, including Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status.
- Eligible for membership with Engineers Australia
· Previous experience on mid size – major projects, through all phases, included execution.
· Excellent technical and practical engineering skills and able to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its clients.
· Experienced in equipment package management, document review and consolidation, for energy and chemicals equipment such as: process columns, heat exchangers (shell and tube and air cooled), pumps, compressors etc.
· Working knowledge of API and TEMA standards for static equipment listed above.
· An excellent knowledge of the fundamentals of greenfield and brownfield engineering
