About The Role
- Manage the packaging team, delegate and monitor work assignments to meet and improve packaging efficiencies
- Set ambitious packaging goals, communicate them to key personnel and create the packaging schedule, maintaining output volumes
- Provide training to new team members, inclusive of inductions when required and carry out regular toolbox meetings
- Maintain and follow workflow policies that enhance efficiency, safety and integrity of products
- Work in a hands on capacity on day to day tasks in packaging when needed
- Identifying correct equipment and machinery are used for correct work task, monitoring equipment for malfunction/repairs
- Conduct efficient and accurate monthly stocktakes
- Proactively adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices by carrying out and adhering to all company SOP’s, Policies and Procedures
- Experience in the food industrywith firm knowledge of food safety
- Experienced team supervisor or manager
- Forklift Licence
- Excellent time management skills with attention to detail
- Proven track record of training in productivity and safety
- Computer skills and experience
- Confident decision making and problem solving skills
