Full-time position for a Packing Facility Supervisor is available in Coorumba QLD 4860.
SKILLS
You require at least a Certificate IV or higher qualification and at least 1-year relevant job experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Your role as the Packing Facility Supervisor is to supervise the daily tasks of the Banana Packing Facility and assist the managers with the operations of the Packing Facility.
DUTIES
The position will require the following duties:
- Consultancy and planning with managers to meet objectives.
- Assist, supervise and delegate tasks for the Packing Facility.
- Ensure staff have the required tools and equipment for their daily scheduled tasks.
- Monitor the banana bunch harvest to ensure correct supply for packaging meeting all required standards and specifications.
- Supervise & assist with the processing of the Packing Facility including but not limited to hanging, cutting, de-handing and washing, packing & stacking of the product.
- Train new staff in required positions ensuring they are aware of their duties and understanding the site’s commitment to the ongoing compliance to the Freshcare, HARPS Food Safety & Quality Standards.
- Monitors hours, breaks and performance and report any staff issues.
- Assist with the monitoring of the packing line to ensure the smooth flow of processing and no delays between workstations.
- Oversee the work of farm hands and ensure work deadlines are met.
- Ensure the packed product is packed, labelled, stacked and palletised for transport correctly. Ensure the farm packed product inspection record are filled out ensuring the product is sent meeting the required standards and specifications.
- Ensure routine maintenance is carried out and arranging repairs when necessary.
- Ensure that waste materials are disposed of correctly.
- Ensure and enforce compliance with food safety standards, Freshcare and Freshcare environmental rules & legislative requirements, HARPS and OH&S.
- Additional duties and tasks may be required from time to time as required by the business.
The salary offered will be $60,000 to $ 70,000 per annum based on candidate’s experience.
