Packing Room - Machine Setter/Operator

Troy Laboratories is a world-class quality manufacturer of animal health pharmaceuticals. To support our continued growth, we are looking for Machine Setter/Operator to join our Packing Team working on day shift 7am - 3pm. This is a hands-on role where you will set up different lines, troubleshoot and optimise the line to meet set targets, KPI’s and quality standards. You will also work on the line to support the team each day.  

Key responsibilities

• Set up filling and packing lines as assigned to you.
• Troubleshooting the line and carrying out change overs.
• Strip down, wash and reassemble lines to produce a quality product
• Ensure the lines are working to maximum efficiency.
• Monitor the quality of the product throughout the filling run and make appropriate adjustments to maintain quality and compliance.
• Optimise the line to meet KPI's and minimises downtime.
• Participate in production when required to meet daily production targets
• Work on the line as required to support the team.
• Work with the Engineering team to maintain equipment for optimal performance.
• Continuous improvement focussed on safety, quality, service levels and cost.
• Communicate effectively with other teams in all areas of the business.

Skills and experience

• 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Previous experience working within a food, beverage, dairy, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
• A safety first focus is essential.
• Ability to think on your feet and have a can-do attitude.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• LEAN Manufacturing experience would be beneficial.
• Experience with GMP would be an added benefit.
• Trade qualification would be highly desired (but not essential).
