About the Position:
As part of our occupational therapy paediatric team, there is opportunity for a passionate and motivated graduate or experienced sub-contractor to join our Torquay team on a part time basis.
The role will involve delivering evidence-based intervention plans and supporting paediatric clients in partnership with their families, carers and other service providers.
This role will suit a motivated Occupational Therapist, who is committed to providing a high standard of service and passion to work autonomously within both the private and NDIS space. The caseload can be catered to your clinical interests and ages of experience and preference.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical/Professional Expertise
- Deliver services to young people and children 2-18 years using a strength-based approach.
- Deliver services to young people who are experiencing learning, language, sensory, intellectual, physical and cognitive difficulties.
- Collaborate with the client’s multidisciplinary team, learning from and also supporting those disciplines, in order to best meet the family’s needs and priorities.
- Undertake assessment, planning, delivery, evaluation and continuous improvement related to the provision of Paediatric Occupational therapy services and demonstrate a strong level of clinical skill across some or all of the age groups eligible for service.
- Organise and proactively self-manage workload with support available if required.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor of Occupational Therapy
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA);
- Demonstrated ability to deliver assessments, recommendations & therapy
Knowledge & Skills
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and communication skills both written and verbal, including the ability to liaise with families, carers and other professionals.
- Demonstrated focus on service with a commitment to delivering high quality outcomes for clients;
- Demonstrated ability to work well as a part of a team yet be autonomous in the role;
- Good organisational and time management skills;
Compliance and Insurance
In line with legislation, CCOT will conduct the following checks that must be returned clear before commencing the role:
- Police Check
- Working with Children Check
- AHPRA registration
- Professional and indemnity insurance
