Merchants of the Sun is seeking a Paid Media Specialist to ramp up our online presence.
We are looking for a highly driven creative who can turn numbers and data into big-picture thinking.
From managing our paid advertising channels to elevating our creative strategy, you will feel most at home developing an exciting strategy that speaks directly to our audience.
This is a Gold Coast-based position that requires you to work from our Miami Showroom with our entire team from Monday to Friday. Flexible working arrangements are available where necessary.
NB: This is strictly an in-house position we will not be accepting applications from agencies or freelancers unless you want to work in-house.

YOUR ROLE:
Our Digital Advertising Specialist will increase brand loyalty and accelerate growth internationally across key online media through strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
PAID ADVERTISING
- Develop and execute comprehensive global Paid Media strategies to drive incremental revenue & maximise CLV across (but not limited to) Meta, Google, Pinterest, TikTok, Snapchat, and YouTube.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, analytics, creative, and product teams to align Paid Media initiatives with overall business objectives and product launches.
- Manage the allocation of advertising budgets across platforms to ensure efficient allocation in line with Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM) analysis & Marketing Efficiency Ratio (MER) targets.
- Using Google Analytics and Facebook Business to engage our target audience and generate additional revenue through acquisition.
- Manage the allocation of advertising budgets across platforms to ensure efficient allocation in line with Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM) analysis & Marketing Efficiency Ratio (MER) targets.
- Analyse performance data, identify trends, and implement actionable insights to improve effectiveness and continuously drive scalable growth.
- Assist in ad creative strategy & ideation.
- Lead the International Digital Expansion for Merchants.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key media partners and platforms.
- Provide regular reporting and analysis of Paid Media KPIs and metrics to the wider business, demonstrating the impact of Paid Media and informing strategic decision-making.
- Monitor & stay on top of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in Paid Media to maintain a competitive edge and capitalise on new opportunities.
- Assisted eCommerce Manager with monitoring site performance to maximise customer experience, engagement, and conversion, as well as attract new customers.
- Liaising with external consultants and creatives to meet campaign requirements.
- SEO experience would also be highly regarded.
CREATIVE ANALYST
- Reporting on all creative across the brand and providing insights/guidance on how to drive improvements + lift. Through KPI driven reporting and objectives.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
We are open to anyone who can bring a new perspective to our studio, but you will likely have:
- At least 4+ years experience in a similar role, ads specialist - e-commerce mandatory experience. You may have experience in-house or in a marketing/creative agency with transferrable skills.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Marketing (preferred, not essential).
- A connection to the Merchants brand, Mission, Vision and Values.
- An eye for identifying an opportunity and the motivation to chase it down.
- Highly analytical and strategic decision-maker
- Ideal candidate has managed Paid Media for 8-fig+ brands.
- The ability to strategise, implement and take ownership of marketing projects.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to balance the big picture with getting the important details right.
- An eye for customer experience - you know how to grab attention and make the most of each project.
- Advanced organisational skills as an autonomous worker.
- The ability to work in a team - you'll be working very closely with our Director, as well as our creative team + ecomm team.
- You will have exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and be able to build and maintain strong working relationships.
- A head full of ideas and a heart for the Merchants brand. This role does not begin and end with KPIs, and we are looking for someone who isn't afraid to push the boundaries and add their own flair to every little task.
