Based in the Northern Regions of South Australia, Gadaleta Steel Fabrication delivers projects for clients across the infrastructure, mining and industrial sectors.
We are a Structural/Mechanical and Crane Hire business providing a full range of steel fabrication, procurement, project construction/maintenance solutions and crane hire to clients.
Full time, Permanent position is available for a Blaster/Painter to work in our Port Pirie facility.
About the Role:
- Working to client paint specifications.
- Experience in structure steel and piping.
- Set up and operate tools common to the blast and paint trade.
- Safely and efficiently operate blast equipment to remove corrosive surface from fabricated components in accordance with job specifications in preparation for application of protective coatings.
- Prepare and apply protective coatings to fabricated components in accordance with job specifications, standards and data sheets.
- Internal blasting on pipework
- Working on both workshop and client sites
- Maintain stocks and consumables.
- Maintain documentation to Australian Standards and ISO Accreditation.
Skills and Experience:
- Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade - Surface Preparation and Finishing or an equivalent Qualification.
- Previous workshop experience
- Previous experience in Industrial Painting & Blasting
- Experience in the mining and resources sector
- Working at Height and Confined Space qualifications desirable
- Airless & conventional experience
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety.
- Ability to work well within a Team.
- NACE Accredited an advantage.
