How You’ll Shine
In your position you will be responsible for carrying out painting projects throughout the property to maintain vibrant and fresh-looking accommodation and common area spaces.
Erecting or installing work platforms and stepladders and other support structures
Preparing work areas and protecting surfaces not requiring painting with covers or sheets
Preparing areas to be painted - e.g. removing old paint, levelling surfaces, filling in cracks and holes etc.
Painting interior and exterior walls using brushes, rollers and other tools
Executing artistic decorations, effects and patterns if required
Applying coatings, coverings and claddings on external walls
Applying varnishes
Inspecting painted surfaces and rectifying any flaws or defects
This role will be required 2 days per week.

What You’ll Bring
To be successful in this role, you will be:
Previous experience in a similar role
Pursuing or completed a trades qualification in painting
Knowledge of properties of paints and other coating products for internal and external use
Manual skills for using painting tools
Excellent knowledge of paint application techniques
Sense of form and colour
Ability to work at heights
Ability to use and care for tools and equipment
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work a flexible roster, working evenings and weekends
Knowledge of OH&S guidelines and legislative requirements
