We have an opportunity for an experienced Palliative Care Nurse to join our highly regarded District Nursing team, in the role of Palliative Care, Clinical Nurse Consultant. This position is committed to facilitating and providing high quality Palliative Care for patients and carers and supporting health professionals within the community, aged care sector and the acute hospital setting.
This position requires excellent patient assessment skills for ongoing patient care. This role works closely and collaboratively with the District Nursing team, Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Unit Manager, ANUM’s and WGHG multidisciplinary teams. The role requires a person who has the ability to prioritise patient care and be flexible to meet the demands of a changing day to day business. The successful person will be required to have sound clinical and communication skills. We have a permanent part time position of 48 hours per fortnight available.
Requirements:
Mandatory:
- Current registration with AHPRA -Registered Nurse
- Current Driver Licence
- Professional qualification in Palliative Care or working towards
- Minimum of three years of current relevant experience

- Ability to work under pressure, handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
IMPORTANT: All staff employed in the healthcare sector are required to be fully (3 doses) vaccinated for COVID-19 and 2024 influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.

All employees must hold current entitlement to work within Australia. A six month probationary period applies to all new appointments.
