We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Panel Shop Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Doncaster and Boxhill workshops.

We are hiring in both our Boxhill and Doncaster locations.
The role:
As the Panel Shop Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of workshop activities, including customer interactions, team leadership, quality control, and occupational health and safety.
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the workshop, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.
- Interact with customers and insurers directly, providing exceptional service and resolving any issues or concerns.
- Lead a team of panel beaters and technicians, providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure high performance and exceptional quality workmanship.
- Assess vehicles and identify the scope of work required for repairs, building accurate quotes and pricing accordingly.
- Order parts and materials necessary for repairs, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Organise and delegate work assignments to team members, prioritising tasks based on deadlines and customer requirements.
- Maintain strict quality control standards throughout the repair process, ensuring all work meets or exceeds customer expectations and industry standards.
- Conduct thorough inspections of completed repairs to identify any defects or deficiencies, taking corrective action as necessary.
- Enforce occupational health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees, conducting regular safety inspection and provided training where required.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, open communication, and a strong sense of accountability.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in a similar role within the automotive repair industry, with a strong background in panel beating and collision repair.
- Knowledge in IBody, NTAR and Audanet will be highly regarded.
- Relevant and formal qualification in the automotive field.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Proficiency in assessing vehicles, building accurate quotes, and ordering parts.
- Sound knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and practices.
- Ability to work autonomously and unsupervised, taking initiative and making sound decisions.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
