My clients have been in operation, in the paint and panel industry, for over 50 years. During this time, they have expanded from 1 site to multiple sites across Melbourne. A great opportunity has become available for a Panel Shop Manager or Assistant Manager at some of their sites, located in central and south-east Melbourne.
During their time in operation, they have strived to build their reputation with both customers and staff. This is evident with the low turnover of staff. In turn, this ensures that happy staff are offering the best customer service to their clients.
In this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the shop, with your duties including, but not limited to:
- Customer service
- Shop productivity and profitability
- Maintaining quality standards
- Writing quotes
- Managing staff
- Working with suppliers
- Liaising with assessors
- Reporting to head office
- Attending training and leadership programs.
To be considered for this role, you do not necessarily have to come from a
Panel Shop background, although this is highly desirable. Candidates with management experience with a background from mechanical workshops or Parts businesses will also be considered for the role. My client is looking for strong managers that have a commitment to their work and can lead a productive and hard-working team.
